Engineering Project Manager, Apple Watch, Product Design

As an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) supporting the Watch Product Design (PD) organization

You will join a team of PD EPMs that is responsible for technical project management and assisting engineering development with one of our Watch PD teams. The successful candidate will be a fearless organizer, utilizing a solid Mechanical Engineering background to drive day-to-day activities with the team to meet the top level program objectives. The PD EPM focuses on system-level mechanical engineering design, managing development planning and validation cycles.

Minimum Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required; BSME Preferred
• 2+ years prior product development experience in project management or mechanical engineering design
• Detailed knowledge of product development process and cycles
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interfacing with mechanical engineering/design, operations, and vendors
• Experience setting up project schedules and work breakdown structures
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills. Able to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
• Strong interpersonal skills, oriented toward teamwork
• Self motivated and proactive, demonstrating creative and critical thinking capabilities
• Understands and able to handle rapid development cycles well; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
• Ability to travel internationally to support builds

Any of the following is also a plus:

• Experience in consumer electronics
• Experience as a practicing engineer
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing
