Were looking for a Senior UX Designer to join the Kindle UX Design team - a group of passionate designers, researchers, and builders united by a single mission: to enable customers to read more. If you believe that reading changes lives and want your work to reach millions of people around the world, this role is for you.
In this position, youll own the end-to-end design of Kindle reading experiences - from early concept to launch. Youll translate complex customer problems into clear, elegant solutions and bring them to life through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Youll work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers, grounding every decision in customer insight and data.
Were looking for someone with at least 8 years of UX design experience, a strong portfolio of end-to-end product work, fluency in tools like Figma, and experience using AI in the design process. Experience designing for consumer hardware or mobile platforms is important, and a background in reading apps, content discovery, or e-readers is a meaningful plus. Youll regularly present work to stakeholders and senior leadership, so the ability to tell a clear, compelling story about your design decisions is essential.
Preferred candidates will also bring a demonstrated ability to think beyond individual features - recognizing patterns, anticipating downstream effects, and designing with the whole system in mind, creating solutions that are scalable, coherent, and resilient as the product evolves. Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate and elevate the design process is strongly preferred, whether for research synthesis, rapid ideation, workflow efficiency, or prototype creation.
Beyond the work itself, were looking for someone who wants to contribute to a team culture built on inclusion, curiosity, and craft - mentoring junior designers and championing the customer perspective every step of the way.
