User Experience Designer Sr. Consultant

Job Description

The User Experience Designer Sr Consultant is responsible for leading efforts in applying knowledge of human capabilities, technology, industry design best practices and standards to create user interfaces for Allstate digital products. As a User Experience Designer, you will collaborate on cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes in service of Allstate customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently produces designs that account for both user and business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Design and tailor interactive prototypes—primarily in Figma—to clearly communicate concepts, align cross‑functional teams, and support a range of needs by adjusting fidelity and functionality for usability testing, stakeholder reviews, and developer handoff.
  • Apply strong information architecture principles to structure content, navigation, and product flows—reviewing and refining Information Architecture (IA) across teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, and using research insights to optimize hierarchy, labeling, and layouts for increasingly complex experiences.
  • Consistent use of human-centered design methods and tools to analyze ambiguous problems and to execute solutions.
  • Gains support for difficult decisions and enlists commitment by involving others at all stages of the process.
  • Consistently adheres to and advocates for the user experience design process in own work without oversight.
  • Independently partners with the development team through implementation of tactical design to ensure user experience standards are met.
  • Uses knowledge to educate and inform project teams on the role of user experience design, drivers of profitability, and technical feasibility.
  • Independently plans, conducts and facilitates iterative evaluations of user-interface designs (usability testing, mock-up interviews, heuristic reviews, qualitative and quantitative measures).
  • Regularly contributes ideas for improving team processes.
  • Proactively executes user experience design work, and alerts lead or managers to issues or scope changes that will jeopardize timelines, even beyond own work.

Experience

  • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 80,000.00 - 136,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications. The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
