About Aios Medical

Our overarching mission is to accelerate the mass-market global adoption of consumer biotech products so every human can live at least 100 healthy years. Our immediate focus is excess bodyweight. We are accelerating the global take-up of GLP-1 medications by increasing their accessibility to help solve obesity worldwide. To do that, were building an AI-powered clinical operating system: ClinicOS. ClinicOS makes it effortless for consumer brands to easily offer direct-to-patient healthcare, globally. We work with external Brand Partners, as well as using this infrastructure to scale our own internal consumer healthcare brands.

Since we launched Fella Health in the US in June 2021, Fella has positioned itself as no-nonsense weight loss for busy bigger guys. Today, we operate multiple brands across the US & UK — our two biggest are Fella Health (US & UK) and Bolt Pharmacy (UK). Our infrastructure will have served 100 million patients worldwide by 2035. Well then use that direct-to-patient infrastructure to serve next-gen biotech products at scale to increase the proportion of humans living at least 100 healthy years. In so doing, well become the worlds first trillion dollar healthcare company.

How far along are we?

Weve grown >1000x since Aug 2021, >200x since Aug 2022, >40x since Aug 2023. Were serving >40k customers with high NPS. Were >$50M/yr revenue. Weve been cashflow positive for >24mo. Were a young startup and were just getting started. This is still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.

Being the Product Design at Aios Medical

Youll be stepping into a product that has grown fast and now needs strong design leadership, judgment, and structure. Weve recently launched our mobile app, crossed £180M in annual revenue, and are expanding into new markets. Design hasnt kept pace with our growth. This is day one for Design at Aios.

Youll work across customer-facing products and internal tools. Were looking for someone who can run with ambiguity and be trusted to get things over the line without being managed closely. In practice, that means building a design system from scratch, bringing real design thinking to our internal clinical dashboard, raising the standard on our mobile and web experience, and redesigning internal tools around the people who use them every day. Youll manage our current team of 2 product designers from day one and grow the team from there.

Youll report directly to Ben, Head of Product, with close oversight from Richie, CEO. Youll also work closely with Gzim, VP of Engineering, and Jordan, Head of CX. This is a fully remote, full-time role, mostly async, with availability expected until midday Pacific Time two or three times a week for leadership meetings.

Key responsibilities

Youll be working across the full product - customer-facing and internal - and the problems you solve will be felt across the entire company. This is what that looks like in practice:

  • A design system that scales: brand colours, typography, tone of voice, component libraries, and the processes that make everything we ship feel consistent and intentional as the team grows.
  • Redesign our clinical dashboard: youll be the first designer to touch it. Start from first principles and build something clinicians love using every day.
  • A mobile and web experience were proud of: the mobile app is live and the product is growing fast. Youll own the design refresh and set the standard for everything that comes next.
  • Internal tools that make the CX team faster: youll spend a lot of time with the CX team, understand how they work, and structure the experience around them.
  • A design team with direction: youll work with our Product Designers, Melissa and Shannen from day one, bringing the structure and guidance that helps them do their best work. Youll grow the function from there, hiring as the product scales.

Need to have

  • Design obsession: You pick up on the smallest inconsistencies, think simple is beautiful and foresee the smallest of UX issues.
  • Management experience: You have directly managed designers before, not just coordinated with them.
  • Cross-platform experience: You have designed across multiple systems: web, mobile, and internal tools.
  • Zero-to-one experience: You have built a product or design system from scratch before.
  • Hands-on capability: You still enjoy designing.
  • UX research ownership: You have owned research beyond just running the occasional user interview.
  • Copy and content design: You have worked closely with copy or owned it yourself.

Nice to have

  • Regulated environment experience: You have worked in healthcare, finance, or another regulated industry.
  • European & US market experience: You have designed for European and US users.
