Manager, User Experience

Job Summary

As a UX Manager, you will manage a team of UX designers focused on building the next wave of innovative products and services. The manager will be partnering with Consumer Product and Technology leaders to define and drive high quality design deliverables across the product design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide UX program oversight of all the Consumer 7-Eleven product space initiatives
  • Lead a group of UX designers, inspire and mentor them, serve as a champion of their work, guide them, and elevate their efforts to the next level
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, product, and technical leaders to gain alignment and shared understanding of the product vision and key goals
  • Contribute to strategic decisions that shape the future of the 7-Eleven customer experience
  • Partner with key stakeholders, product, and technical leaders to gain alignment and shared understanding of the product around its vision and key goals
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and articulate risks, trade-offs, and recommend priorities based on balancing customer needs, business needs and technical constraints
  • Gather feedback from others, and provide coaching and mentoring of direct reports

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8+ years of professional experience in UX design, with 3+ years leading and managing UX design teams
  • Strong expertise in user-centered design processes, methods, and principles
  • Proficiency across UX design disciplines: interaction design, information architecture, visual design, prototyping, and user research
  • Solid proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Background in using AI agentic tools, with hands-on exposure to working closely with front-end development, UI frameworks and championing design system adoption
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Lean UX, and Mobile-First approaches
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex priorities
  • Degree in HCI, User Experience & Design, or related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
